- Ensure the acrylic surface is alcohol-free, this will prevent cracking and blistering
- Always clean the acrylic and rub away any rough edging
- Heat the plastic up to just below melting-point, and gradually reduce temperature back to room temp.
- Move the flame polisher at a slow steady pace along the acrylic, don't let the flame settle too long on the one areas as this may cause the acrylic to blister
